Voluntary Worksite Benefits

Overview

Many employers are looking for ways to attract and retain employees, but few have the time or resources to provide an extensive benefits program that meets all of their employees' needs. As a result, companies are turning to voluntary benefits as a way to offer their employees more, with less impact on their companies' bottom lines.

Roper Starch Worldwide recently conducted a study to better understand the attitudes and purchase behaviors of Americans regarding voluntary benefits. Some key findings are:

·         Two thirds (66%) of all employees surveyed agree voluntary benefits are a good idea.

·         Employees appreciate the value and convenience of voluntary benefits. The top three advantages cited by the employees surveyed are the value of group rates (74%), convenience of payroll deduction (71%) and ease of not having to shop on their own (67%).

·         More than one in three (37%) employees surveyed currently pay 100% of the cost of at least one benefit they receive through their employer.

At Benico, Ltd., we understand the challenges employers face and the fact that time and resources are at a premium. With this being said, we can assist you with reviewing a variety of voluntary benefit programs that increase the variety of benefits without adding to your workload or costs. That's because employees pay for the benefits themselves and the carriers we work with are principally responsible for the implementation, communication, enrollment and administration of these programs.
