In the Chicago market Benico works closely with Rogers Benefit Group (RBG) on the placement of small employer group health insurance with insurance companies other than Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois (which we deal directly with). RBG offers a really cool tool called the “Easy Apps System” which permits a small employer group (companies / organizations with 2-50 insured employee lives) to have its employees fill out a single form online and have the system output the form to the following companies’ enrollment / medical questionnaire forms:
- UnitedHealthcare
- Aetna
- Humana
- Unicare
- Principal
Once the forms are received by the respective carriers, then firm, medically underwritten pricing with these carriers is provided, at which point the client is able to make an informed contracting decision.

In order to actually set a prospective account up for such a review, all that we need are the names and dates of birth for all of the employees to be insured. Once we receive this, the RBG Chicago office issues user names and passwords to the employer along with the following memo explaining the process:
We have set up your group with the Easy Apps System. Directions are attached which you can give to each employee to help them log into the system.
Employees who uploaded successfully will have a User Name following this formula: first two characters of the first name and first six characters of their last name (users with less than 6 characters in their last name will use all available characters in their name). All passwords will be defaulted to "password". After logging in, employees will be required to change their passwords. When logging in please remember to use small letters, not capital letters, as the login/password are case-sensitive.
The following description is intended for all employees who will be logging in to complete the application, as this process will help make filling out group health insurance applications a much smoother and less time-consuming process.
The purpose of this online enrollment tool is to gather information that will allow your employer to get the best benefit for you at the best price. This process will eliminate the need for you to complete a paper insurance form. The following is a list of some of the information needed for you to complete the process.
- Name, address
- Dependent information, including dates of birth and Social Security numbers for all dependents
- Prior carrier information including account number
- Medical condition information including prescription names and dosage
